The legendary rock group Queen released a fast version of “We Will Rock You,” recorded in 1977 for DJ John Peel. The song will be included in the upcoming collection of BBC recordings Queen on Air coming in November.
Rolling Stone reports that the recording of this arena anthem was tracked the same day the album News of the World was released. This album features the song and is the only time the band played this version in the studio.
Queen on Air also features 220 minutes of interviews and radio appearances as well as live concert broadcasts.
