Fisk Food & Music Festival
Fisk University presents is Annual Food & Music Festival on the campus grove featuring #1 Contemporary Jazz recording artist Lindsey Webster and Kevin Whalum.
The Fisk Festival is sponsored by Sam's Club & HCA, its free and open to the public. Bring your lawn chair and enjoy the live music from the stage all day or visit one of the many food and merchandise vendors who will be there. Enjoy our family atmosphere and have a great day on the Fisk campus. Take the children to the Kid Zone for a fun day of all kinds of activities.

2:15pm - 3:05pm Dr. Mark Williams & The Mark Williams Band
Dr. Mark is n award-winning Contemporary Gospel Recording, songwriter, worship leader, and surgeon. His latest release WHEN A MAN WORSHIPS includes an eclectic array of jazz, Caribbean-styled, traditional and contemporary gospel songs.
3:20pm - 4:10pm Les Sabler & the Les Sabler Band
Nashville transplant guitarist, vocalist, and producer Les Sabler burst onto the smooth jazz music scene in Canada back in the late 1980's. He has released seven CD projects during that time. Over his music career he has landed concert dates headlining or opening for artists such as Lorber, Spyro Gyra, Richard Elliot, Michael Lington, Diane Schurr and Fattburger.
4:35pm - 5:35pm The Hamilton Brothers Band
The Hamilton Brothers, a seasoned trio of accomplished musicians, producers and writers are considered as "go to" musicians for performances in Nashville. They are accomplished in many genres of music such as: Jazz, Soul, Funk and Gospel and have shared both stage and studios with artists such as Lalah Hathaway, Aaron Neville, B.B. King, After 7, Montell Jordan, Angela Winbush and Kelly Price.
6:00pm - 7:00pm Kevin Whalum & the Kevin Whalum Band
Whether covering soul, jazz, scat or gospel Kevin Whalum himself is "an instrument". Coming from a gifted musical family his smooth vocal stylings are in demand in performances and recordings with some of music’s most talented people in music. Writing, singing, producing, recording and even preaching Kevin gives you a 100% performance every time. Kevin is baby to legendary saxophonists Kirk Whalum. You hear Kevin on most of Kirk's albums.
7:45pm - 8:50pm Lindsey Webster Trio
Lindsey Webster achieved the only vocally driven song to hit #1 on the Billboard Contemporary Jazz chart for four weeks (beating out Sade’s previous record of three weeks) with the song Fool Me Once. Webster considers herself “very, very lucky” to have grown up in Woodstock, NY. With a heavy emphasis on arts and music. She has been performing around the world and has recently released her third album Back To Your Heart which is climbing he smooth jazz charts. She has sung on other new contemporary jazz singles from Kirk Whalum and Rick Braun.
