Album of the Month – Out of Our Heads

Out of Our Heads by the Rolling Stones is their third British album and their fourth album for the United States. The album was released on September 24, 1964 in the UK while being released a year later on July 30th in the US.  The album covers on the US Out of Our Head is different than the album that was released in the UK featuring a shot from the same photo session that was used for the album The Rolling Stones No. 2.

The album was ranked not only No. 2 in the UK Top 20 Albums chart in 1965 but in No. 1 on the Billboard 200 in 1965. The album has three singles that hit the UK Top Singles and the Billboard Hot 100 charts in 1965 that included the songs; “The Last Time”, “(I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction” and “Play with Fire”. The Out of Our Heads has also received Platinum by the RIAA.
