- Elton John launched his first tour in 1970 and since then has had more than 4,000 performances in over 80 countries.

- At three years old he astonished his family by playing The Skater’s Waltz by ear, and at the age of 11 he was awarded a scholarship as a Junior Exhibitor at the Royal Academy of Music. He was a student at the academy from 1959 to 1964.
