Neil Young, folk-rock legend, announced the release of his new album that is scheduled for December. Young just recently released his album Earth this past June and went straight to work to complete this new studio project.
Rolling Stone reports that the new album is called Peace Trail and consists mostly of acoustic collections of songs that Young recorded at Rick Rubin’s Shangri-la Studios.
Peace Trail features 10 tracks and includes contributors such a famed session drummer Jim Keltner and bassist Paul Bushnell. The album is co-produced by Young and John Hanlon who have previously worked together over the past five years.
The album is available for pre-order through Young’s website and at the Pono Music Store. It will be available in various digital formats, as well as on CD and cassette. It has been reported that a vinyl version will also be released in January.
