After Prince’s death in April, many artists have paid tribute by performing his songs. Stevie Nicks says that she was good friends with Prince and that she will be dedicating one of her own hits in honor of him in her upcoming 24 Karat Gold tour.
Stevie says that their decades-long friendship began when Prince performed unaccredited on the track of her hit “Stand Back.” The song was inspired by his melody of “Little Red Corvette.”
“One day I will write up a little essay about me and Prince, because I think the world would really enjoy [hearing] it,” she told ABC Radio. “It was a special relationship.”
